THE ART OF MAKING
Resin art/painting is a unique painting style where you do not use typical brush strokes, watercolour, acrylic or oil paints to create the artwork.
Resin art is created when a runny chemical called epoxy resin is combined with various colour pigments and additives to produce a blend of unique patterns and textures.
Resin is a durable and strong medium, leaving a high gloss, protective finish that allows for a variety of effects to be achieved in art. Epoxy resin is commonly used in art in a variety of ways sealing works like drawings, watercolour works, alcohol ink, mixed media, oil paintings, and photographs, creating a beautiful, high shine, ultra-glossy protective varnish.

RESIN OCEAN ART
Turquoise ocean and pink shore
How lovely it is when I get asked to make art in the form of a much-loved memory for clients. Many people have experiences in their pasts, of loved ones they treasure and wish to hold in the present moment as a form of art.
I was asked by a client if I could capture the fondness of her many wonderful holidays to Teignmouth in the South West of England with her father when she was a child. Dearly missing him, I wanted her to be able to have a beautiful reminder of her love for him, something beautiful she could see each day. That was made just for her.
I was excited to see how I could help her.
Soon after a trip on the train to Teignmouth with my partner and Son, we arrived home with a collection of driftwood, shells and other pretty items we could find in the area.
Working on a large circular wooden art panel board I began capturing Teignmouth's distinctive red and pink hues of sand which I created with acrylic before finishing with resin and preserved moss to symbolise Devon's lush countryside. Sold £120

What postal service do you use within the UK?We send all UK orders via Royal Mail Tracked 48. Orders are normally dispatched within 1-2 days once the order has been received. This is a fully trackable service and you will be given a tracking number within your dispatch email that we will send you.
